Immune-Mediated Hemolytic Anemia in Dogs (IMHA)
My baby girl was playing and wrestling with my other three girls on the evening of the 8th of April 2015. The morning of the 9th she did not act like she felt well. I too was under the weather. I gave her a cold cloth, some water and we slept. She did not eat anythng and drank very little. Fearing she would get dehydrated, I said I would take her to the vet on the morning of the 9th if not better. We made it to the parking lot of the vet where she laid in my lap and bled out within seconds. No warning, no signs. This condition needs to be better told about. Immune-Mediated Hemolytic Anemia in Dogs (IMHA). Her own immune system attacked her red blood cells and I lost her. I did not lose a pet, I did not lose a dog. I lost my 8 year old baby girl!! I know God says we will have our desires. Mine is to have her at my feet when I am sitting at the feet of my Savior.
