Stark
2012 - 2025
Stark passed away SUDDENLY wednesday may 28,2025 at Veterinary Specialists of the Rockies with his favorite person by his side.
Not much is known about starks early years. Born somewhere in new mexico he found himself on the street and later in the shelter before being TRANSFERRED to piles peak humane society in colorado springs. After being adopted and returned twice we cant help but think how unsure he was he woild elver know happiness. But at 2.5 years old he came into my life. A RAMBUNCTIOUS little husky with so much attitude the shelter said he was friendly but not overly affectionate. Boy were they wrong. At first site he jumped in my lap and snuggled against my chest the rest was history. Over the next several years i watched him grow out of that shy MISCHIEVOUS pup into a gentle loving soul. He found his best life and planned on living it to the fullest. From comfy sleeping spots to long walks and hiking adventures and lots of tasty snacks. When he met his younger brother timber he knew he finally had someone to play woth constantly. The 2 became INSEPARABLE, over the next 6 years he TRAVELED from leadville to virginia where he learned to be an east coast husky. Relishing in the rare snow storms and enjoying the finest things in life from toast with his nana to NAP TIME with TEEGE. From there he moved to denver and became a big city husky. Constantly enjoying time on the balcony watching the world go by. Playing in the snow and loving as many dog parks as we could find all with his brother by his side.
TRAGICALLY in 2023 we lost his brother timber to lymphoma, stark said goodbye just like he had always been right by timbers side. He grieved his loss and aged A-LOT in the weeks after. Thats when artemis came into our lives. Stark embraced his little brother and quicly taight him everything he knew, from the most comfortable napping spots to the best squeaky toys and most importantly how to wrestle husky style. Zooming around the house bounding off of FURNITURE. The 2 bonded quickly and it seemed to heal starks pain. Over the next 2 years we made more husky friends. They spotted each other from across the balcony and quickly became friends buddah and BEIGNET. Together the 4 took turns singing the song of there breed whenever they saw one another. Then they added laveau and it became 5, watching our friends husky puppy bound and play with our gentle senior os something i will cherish forever. At 12 he did his best to keep up and managed to carch her every so often.
The last year of his life i found my person, which ment my boys found the perfect spare human. Stark loved Alica and the 2 shared lots of walks and naps ok the couch. He finally had someone to be with while I worked. From MOUNTAIN adventures to SHARING holidays with family and friends his last year was the best. So many memories made, so much love shared. Time with friends taught the next generation. Most importantly snuggles with those he loved most.
I am so glad he found his way to me , he taught me so much. How to slow down and enjoy the little things. How to be PATIENT with thise around you. And most importantly how to love unconditionally. His love showed that no matter how broken you are you still matter. Sleep well my stoic gentle husky, you are with your brother once again i will look forward to the day you come to call me home.
