Spike

Spikey, I remember the night we found you. It was Christmas, the water main at our apartment complex broke, and there you were. Muddy and in the snow. I knew you needed a family that would love you, and since you followed us around meowing, it seemed like you chose us. Right away you became a part of our family. And even though we only got to spend two months with you, you will forever be in our hearts. And at least we were able to love you and make your last months as comfortable as possible. You were a fantastic, loving cat. You even had the patience to deal with your little brother, Silas. And I thank you for being there to snuggle and comfort me whenever I was upset.
