2019 - 2026

Our sweet sammy boy showed up at our doorstep in August of 2019. he was approximately 6 months old and was super skinny (all ears and long legs). he was malnourished, injured, full of mites and his third eyelids were prominent. with the help of a dear friend and neighbor, we took him to an emergency vet and got him medical help, gathered all of the necessary supplies and built a kitty condo for him to recover in as we "fostered him" on our back porch. within three days, the kitty condo was disassembled and sammy was sleeping in our bed! we were foster failures! we are convinced god led him to us. in hindsight, we needed him as much as he needed us! sammy grew into a super healthy, muscular 16 lb handsome boy! he was smart, sweet, affectionate, loving, obedient, mindful and adventurous! he blessed us with seven amazing years! seven years was far too short but they were truly the best years of our lives! - for all three of us! sammy brought so much love, joy, laughter and personality into our home. he made our family complete. on may 12, 2026 unexpected tragedy struck and our boy left this earth! he was taken from us physically but he will live forever in our hearts. we miss him beyond words. for the rest of our life, every time we see a sunset, we will know sammy is watching over us. rest in peace our beautiful boy! we love you, always and forever. mommy & daddy
