Choto

2008 - 2026

Our sweet Choto passed away on September 14, 2026, at 17 years old.

It is difficult to put into words what 17 years with one little dog means. Choto wasn’t simply our pet. She grew up with our family. She was there through ordinary days, big milestones, happy times, difficult times, and all the little moments in between. Somewhere along the way, she became such a constant part of our lives that it was impossible to imagine our home without her.

She was my companion, my comfort, and my sweet little girl. She was deeply loved every single day of her life, and loving her was one of the easiest and most natural things I have ever done.

Seventeen years sounds like a long life, and I am incredibly grateful for every one of them. But when you love someone that much, 17 years still doesn’t feel like nearly enough.

Our home feels different without her. I miss her presence, her little face, and simply knowing she was there. There are a thousand tiny things I miss that I never realized would become precious memories someday.

I believe that the soul does not end when the body does. It continues its journey, moving onward toward peace and, ultimately, liberation. That belief brings me comfort. I pray that Choto’s gentle soul is at peace, free from the limitations of her old body and surrounded by the same love she gave us throughout her life.

Perhaps the souls we love are never truly lost to us. They simply continue on a path we cannot yet follow.

Thank you for 17 beautiful years, Choto. You were such a small little girl who left an enormous mark on our lives.

May your soul find peace and light on its journey.

Om Shanti, Shanti, Shanti.

I will love you and miss you for the rest of mine. 🤍
